The salvaging of old barn wood, barn boards and beams is a positive use of an existing resource.
From a dismantled barn are reclaimed barn timbers, weathered siding, barn boards and old plank flooring from the hay mow. Barn removal and barn salvage companies recycle the old used lumber and beams.
It is recommended that old barns be repaired and reused if possible, however, once the roof starts going, the barn boards and beams will often quickly start to decay.
